When is the Canonization of Blessed Pedro Calungsod?

The Vatican announced that Blessed Pedro Calungsod will be canonized on October 21, 2012. He will be the second Filipino saint.
Pedro Calungsod was a young man born in the Visayas, in Cebu (or maybe in the neighboring islands) in the 17th century. He went as a mission assistant, catechists, sacristan, to Guam, part of the first Jesuit mission expedition to the Marianas Islands. He was killed “in hatred of the faith” by the same men who were responsible for the martyrdom of the Jesuit mission-superior, Father Diego Luis de San Vitores, declared blessed by Pope John Paul II on October 6 1985 as the Proto-Martyr of the Marianas Islands in the Pacific. Pdero Calungsod’s death preceded that of Blessed Diego Luis by a few minutes, on April 2, 1672.
