At 4:00 a.m. today, the eye of Typhoon "CHEDENG" was estimated based on radar, satellite and surface data at 270 km East Northeast of Virac, Catanduanes (14.0°N, 127.0°E) with maximum sustained winds of 160 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 195 kph. It is forecast to move Northwest at 15 kph.

Tropical Storm "CHEDENG" was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 365 km East of Catarman, Northern Samar (12.2°N, 128.3°E) with maximum sustained winds of 115 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 145 kph. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 13 kph.

Increase in Gustiness: 50kph
Direction: Heading Northwest yesterday and West Northwest today, 2kph increase
