Weather update for February 01, 2011

According to the PAGASA DOST website, the low pressure area or LPA was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 90 kms East of Gen. santos City. Due to this, we will be expecting widespread rains in the Visayas and Mindanao area.

Strong to gale force winds is expected to affect the seaboards of Luzon and Visayas and the Eastern seaboard of Mindanao.

There is no tropical cyclone yet within the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
