Tropical Depression Zoraida entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) at 4am on Monday.

The Public Warning Storm Signal effected due to Tropical Depression Zoraida are as follows:

Through Sunstar's posting, "The center of the tropical depression was estimated at 950 kilometers (km) Southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao Del Sur.

Packed with maximum sustained winds of 55 kph, Zoraida is forecast to move northwest at 28 kph.

It is expected to be at 400 km southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur by Tuesday and in the vicinity of Tagbilaran City by Wednesday morning."

SYNOPSIS: At 4:00 AM today, the eye of typhoon “YOLANDA” was located based on all available data including Guiuan and Mactan doppler radar at 62 km southeast of Guiuan, eastern Samar (10.8ºN, 126.2ºE) with maximum sustained winds of 235 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 275 kph. It is forecast to move west northwest at 39 kph.

FORECAST: Metro Manila, Bataan, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol region, Visayas and the provinces of Camiguin, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Dinagat and Agusan del Norte will experience stormy weather with rough to very phenomenal seas. The provinces of Bulacan, Zambales, Pampanga, Misamis Oriental and Agusan del Sur will have rains and gusty wind with moderate to rough seas. The rest of the country will be cloudy with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast to north will prevail over the rest of luzon and coming from the southwest to south over the rest of mindanao with moderate to rough seas.

"MANILA (Updated 11:45 a.m.) -- Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) has gained strength while moving closer to the Philippines, and the state weather bureau said it is expected to make landfall over Guiuan, Eastern Samar around 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday.

In its 11 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that as of 10 a.m., the eye of the typhoon was spotted 637 kilometers (km) east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.

Yolanda is packing winds of about 215 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 250 kph. It is moving west northwestward at 30 kph."
